Temple Theater

Also in the heart of downtown Meridian, this Moorish Revival-style theater was designed by famed architect Emile Weil and opened in 1928. Vaudeville and movies once reigned, but area events, stage shows, plays and concerts draw crowds today. On the first Friday of each month The Sucarnochee Revue, hosted by Jacky Jack White, fills the stage with the Black Belt’s finest singers and songwriters.
